In ancient Egypt, hairdressers had specially decorated cases to hold their tools, including lotions, scissors, barbers also worked as hairdressers, and wealthy men often had personal barbers within their home.
With the standard of wig wearing within the culture, wigmakers were also trained as hairdressers, in ancient Rome and Greece household slaves and servants took on the role of hairdressers, including dyeing and shaving.
Men who did not have their own hair or shaving services would visit the local barbershop. Women had their hair maintained and groomed at their homes, historical documentation is lacking regarding hairstylists from the 5th century until the 14th century. Hair care service grew in demand after a decree in demanded that all Roman Catholic clergymen remove their facial hair. The first appearance of the hairdresser is in 17th century Europe.
A wealthy mans hair would often be maintained by a valet and it was in France where men began styling womens hair for the first time, and many of the notable hairdressers of the time were men, a trend that would continue into contemporary times.

This is the only series which Aron Williams appeared in. Storylines When Nicole arrives, there's tension straight away as she reveals that Lateysha slept with her ex-boyfriend. The rivalry between the girls soon changes as they become good friends and even share some passionate kisses on nights out. Aron is surprised when Nicole shows more interest in Lateysha than him after he tries it on with her.
It becomes clear that Lateysha and Liam don't like each other and several arguments erupt in the house. However, an argument with Leeroy proves too much for Lateysha after initially fancying him and she finally decides to pack her bags and leaves. After a couple of days away, the girls realise how much they're missing Lateysha and go to visit her at home. Lateysha decides to return to Cardiff with them but doesn't get the welcome back she was expecting from the boys.
Aron begins to develop feelings towards Nicole and he takes her out for a date, but at the end of the night things aren't very successful as she ends up with Lateysha instead.
It is expected to air on 25 February on MTV.
This will be the first series not to include cast members Leeroy Reed and Liam Powell, who made their final appearances during Series 2.
