The Best Dragon World Skins in League of Legends (All Ranked)

It’s diverse, creative, and, unsurprisingly, packed with a whole lot of dragons and fire.
Each skin is inspired by dragons in some form or another; some transform champions into badass dragon slayers, while others go full out HTTYD (aka cute dragon sidekicks).
There are even skins that turn champions into godly, dragonesque entities.
Whether you want to live out your HTTYD dreams, or simply become a fire-breathing deity, there’s sure to be a skin below that suits your tastes.
We’ve ranked them all based on character model design, particle effects, splash arts, and price.
18. Dragonslayer Vayne
Released: August 24th, 2011
Price: 975 RP
Dragonslayer Vayne is a hard miss.
The colors are bland, there’s virtually no dragonesque qualities, and the animations are seriously underwhelming.
If Dragonslayer Vayne faced off against Smaug, I guarantee she would be burned to a crisp in less than a millisecond.
But hey, at least she would rack up some Vaynespotting points in the process.
Overall, I really can’t find any “good points” about this skin.
Even the splash art is lackluster.
17. Dragonslayer Xin Zhao
Released: March 9th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP
Dragonslayer Xin Zhao is a solid skin.
The character model is jampacked with dragon-inspired features, the animations are badass, and the sound effects add a whole lot of oomph behind each attack.
The recall is also creative and captivating to watch, with Xin Zhao slaying a fire dragon (albeit being almost eaten in the process).
Sadly, I can’t put this skin any higher up on this list.
While the character model looks okay overall, the hairstyle just… doesn’t suit Xin Zhao whatsoever.
To be honest, it kind of makes him look like an Elf.
16. Dragon Trainer Lulu
Released: November 13th, 2012
Price: 1350 RP
This skin is a mixed bag.
I do love the character model — it gives off a happy-go-lucky adventure vibe — and Pix’s dragon transformation is also insanely cute.
However, the animations and particle effects are disappointing.
They’re honestly identical to Lulu’s base model animations, albeit a little flashier.
Your W doesn’t even turn your enemies into little dragons (a total missed opportunity).
So, I can’t really recommend this skin, especially as it’s priced at 1350 RP.
It just feels like a cash grab.
15. Dragonslayer Diana
Released: January 30th, 2020
Price: 1350 RP
This skin turns Diana into a half-human, half-dragon hybrid, and it… doesn’t really work.
While it has plenty of nice touches — like the Eye of Sauron powered blade — the horn on her forehead just ruins the mood for me. It makes her look like a creepy version of Soraka.
Nevertheless, the animations are slick, edgy, and smooth. Each ability ups your badassery by tenfold.
Plus the recall has you literally fighting (and defeating a dragon), which ya know, is worth at least 1350 RP in itself.
14. Dragonslayer Jarvan IV
Released: March 1st, 2011
Price: 750 RP
Dragonslayer Jarvan IV is one of the oldest skins in the game. And sadly, it definitely looks its age — not in the sense of wrinkles and gray hairs though.
More the fact that the animations are lackluster and the character model is insanely clunky.
His facial expression also honestly reminds me of a protagonist from a 2005 era game; it’s just so derpy and monotone.
With that said, this skin is only 750 RP, and some aspects of it do hold up well.
The horns look badass and the red-scaled armor complements Jarvan’s fiery personality while paying homage to his love for Shyvana.
Actually, thinking about it, dressing yourself up in the scales of your true love is probably not the way to show affection. But hey, you do you Jarvan, it’s not my place to give out dating advice.
Plus, the skin is called Dragonslayer so… I guess they went through a nasty break up?
Jokes aside, this skin is a nice budget option for Jarvan mains overall, even if it’s old and clunky.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the splash art has total GoT vibes.
13. Dragon Master Swain
Released: February 22nd, 2018
Price: 1350 RP
Right.
I know this skin is extremely popular in the LoL community, but I’m personally not a huge fan of it.
The character model doesn’t really stand out, the color palette is lackluster, and the sound effects don’t exactly “wow” me.
With that said, I do absolutely love the new animations, especially the ultimate — it transforms you into a dragon from the depths of hell.
The splash art is also pretty neat.
12. Dragonslayer Trundle
Released: January 30th, 2020
Price: 1350 RP
This skin is essentially just a revamped version of Trundle’s base model, with some dragon qualities thrown in.
While it’s not the most unique skin, it does suit Trundle insanely well.
The oni-inspired face ups his intimidating looks by tenfold, and the mystical blue horns, scaled armor, and new club design are all killer features.
Plus, the recall lets you smash through stones and breathe out the creepiest fire ever. So yeah, it’s the whole package.
Now, I do have one major gripe with this skin:
I absolutely hate the weapon sound effect.
It’s clunky, lackluster, and gets seriously grating after a while.
11. Dragonslayer Kayle
Released: April 15th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP
Kayle might be an angel, but God…
I’m sorry to say that she looks absolutely divine as a demon.
The fiery dragon wings, battle-hardened armor, killer horns — the overall look is a hellish showstopper.
And as expected of such an edgy skin, Kayle no longer sports heavenly animations and sound effects.
Instead, there’s a whole lot of fire, evil energy, and dragon roars.
Sadly, Dragonslayer Kayle has one glaring problem that I can’t look past.
Your level 16 form actually looks x100 worse than your lvl 1 form.
Yeah. I don’t know what Riot were thinking.
10. Dragon Oracle Udyr
Released: August 15th, 2019
Price: 1350 RP
Dragon Oracle Udyr is hands down one of my favorite skins in the whole entire game.
Mainly because the concept of a dragon chasing you across the Rift is:
- badass
- hilarious
- sure to tilt your enemies
Sure, the character model is pretty derpy. And yes, there are flashier skins out there.
But I’m a simple person that loves dumb jokes. It’s a character flaw.
Jokes aside, the forms are neat, with each one having a spiritual, badass dragon vibe, and all the animations feel impactful.
The sound effects are also clear, with plenty of dragon roars to keep you feeling like a total mythical boss.
The only real “issue” I have with this skin is that I find the recall animation pretty lackluster.
It’s not bad, but the “superhero landing” move is pretty cliché.
9. Dragonslayer Olaf
Released: January 30th, 2020
Price: 1350 RP
Saying Dragonslayer Olaf looks badass is an understatement.
His armor is made from slain dragons, his eyes glow with bloodlust, and his weaponry is powered by molten lava.
He genuinely looks like he could take on continent-slaying dragons with his bare hands (and chest).
And despite Olaf’s clunky base model, the animations are smoking hot — I mean they’re literally packed with flames, smoke, and fiery red hues.
Plus, the recall looks like a scene from a dystopian fantasy movie.
My only complaint? His face looks incredibly derpy up close.
So yeah, just don’t zoom in and this skin is still top tier.
8. Dragonslayer Braum
Released: May 11th, 2014
Price: 975 RP
I’m usually not a fan of skins that depart heavily from a champion’s thematic and lore, but even I have to admit that Dragonslayer Braum works insanely well.
Instead of hugs, peace, and ice, Braum is now all about slaying, vengeance, and fire.
And when I say fire, I’m talking a whole lot of fire; his shield is powered by a hellish, fiery dragon, his Q shoots out flames, and his ultimate even scorches the ground.
Plus, each ability is complemented by “toasty” sound effects; aka sizzles and crackles.
The character model, which turns Braum into a badass viking, is top tier too.
All in all, this is one of the best value skins out there, and it’s sure to warm up the hearts of any Braum main.
There’s also plenty of nifty chromas.
7. Dragon Sorceress Zyra
Released: March 9th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP
Dragon Sorceress Zyra is packed with fanservice — yep, Rito somehow managed to make a dragon sexy — and the animations are top tier as well.
Each ability further immerses you in the dragon thematic; your Q and E summon up little dragon sidekicks, your bulbs are now dragon eggs, and your ult has serious “you shall not pass” energy.
The recall is also captivating and shows off a mean pair of dragon wings.
To top it all off?
The splash art is desktop wallpaper worthy.
6. Dragon Knight Mordekaiser
Released: February 24th, 2010
Price: 520 RP
Dragon Knight Mordekaiser used to be a dull, underwhelming skin.
But since the rework?
It got a total glow up.
The skin makes Mordekaiser look even more ghoulish and evil, with eerie knightly armor, a demonic hammer, and dark, hellish hues.
The animations are also slick and feel great to play with.
All in all, at only 520 RP, you’re getting a lot for your buck.
Plus, I seriously love the scarf design; it gives off a total Mikasa vibe (so yeah, that instantly ups the skin’s badass look by tenfold).
5. Dragon Guardian Galio
Released: April 15th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP
Dragon Guardian Galio is a feast for the eyes.
Every element of the character model is absolutely stunning, from the color-changing wings and ethereal armor, to the glowing gauntlets and well-decorated dragon mask.
There’s also plenty of references to Galio’s connection to the wind, especially in the animations.
Each ability has an airy yet powerful, mystical feel, with your ult making you feel like a raging tempest (aka a 1vs5’in machine).
Oh, and your recall has you saving the cutest baby dragon ever.
So yeah, badass AND adorable. What more could you want?
4. Dragonslayer Twitch
Released: April 15th, 2021
Price: 1350 RP
Dragonslayer Twitch looks like a D&D character that’s hit max level, splurged on the most badass armor possible, and then rolled a dice to transform himself into a hybrid dragon entity.
Because, you know, when you want to slay an end game dragon, you’ve got to become one to truly know its weaknesses.
Jokes aside, this skin is honestly breathtaking.
Sure, becoming the thing you hate the most in order to slay it sounds like every anime plot ever, but it works so well.
The scales, the tail, the razor sharp teeth and fiery eyes — the whole look is pure perfection.
The particle effects are equally satisfying, and each ability brags great visual clarity while still being flashy and immersing you in the dragon theme.
But what really makes this skin a top contender?
The recall. It’s sure to traumatize any Anivia main out there.
3. Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger
Released: October 11th, 2018
Price: 1820 RP
Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger is whacky, cute, and… packed with an insane amount of dragons.
Literally. Every single ability features these scaly creatures in some way or another;
your turrets? Fire-breathing baby dragons.
Your grenades? Bouncing dragon eggs.
Your ult? Yep. You guessed right. It’s a giant, badass dragon.
Hell, even your homeguard and emotes are packed with little dragons up to hilarious antics.
Plus the splash art has an uncanny resemblance to HTTYD’s “the hidden world.”
Aside from the dragon overload, the skin feels great too.
Each ability is slick, smooth, and boasts excellent visual clarity. The sound effects are also top tier.
So why haven’t I put the donger at the #1 spot?
Well, there’s a skin out there that explores this same concept a little bit better, as you’ll soon find out.
2. Dragonslayer Pantheon
Released: May 14th, 2014
Price: 1350 RP
Dragonslayer Pantheon is fierce, battle-ready, and sure to tempt your wallet.
A weapon that looks like it could pierce through even the toughest of dragons? Yep.
A shield literally empowered by the Eye of Sauron? Yep.
A cape with total “Overlord” energy? Yep, yep, and yep.
So, put simply: the character model is a work of art — the bloody, edgy, badass kind of art.
But, believe it not, the character model isn’t the reason why this skin is one of my faves.
It’s actually because of the animations. They’re genuinely legendary material.
Your Q summons up a spear from the depths of hell, your W scorches the Rift, and your E is a magnificent, fiery display.
Oh, and your ult also transforms you into a literal, flying dragon.
Yep. It’s magnificent, and honestly, a total gamechanger — your enemies are going to want to get hit by your ult just so they can watch the animation play out.
Truly, this skin is packed with everything a dragon lover could possibly want.
1. Dragon Trainer Tristana
Released: December 3rd, 2015
Price: 1820 RP
It would be a sin to not put Dragon Trainer Tristana at the no.1 spot.
It’s not just the cutest skin in this line, it’s one of the cutest skins in the whole game.
The splash art is aww-worthy, the voice lines reference HTTYD, and your rocket is now an adorable baby dragon that shoots out fireballs.
The emotes are also cuteness overload and worth the RP in themselves.
My personal favorite emote?
When the dragon attempts to show off his… “mastery” of play dead.
He fails spectacularly — in fact, he accidentally sets Tris’s face on fire — but he still demands pets and treats, and the whole thing just gives off puppy energy in every way possible.
But any avid LoL player will know the real reason why this skin is the overall winner.
Yep. It’s the death animation; Tristana and her dragon literally re-enact the scene from Hachiko.
It’s honestly heartbreaking.
But hey, at least your enemies won’t want to kill you anymore (#freeLP).
