What I will say, with confidence, is that breakfast is the most photogenic meal of the day. Or breakfast foods, at the very least.
Avocado toast. Fried eggs. Waffles and fruits. Pancakes with whipped cream. Most of the time when I see food shots, I see several dishes commonly consumed in the morning.
So, yeah. I am strongly of the opinion that while breakfast may (or may not!) be the most important meal, it’s certainly the prettiest.
And these custom breakfast food items for TS4 can help me back my case.
1. 3T4 Value Poptarts by pixelheaux
What do you mean Poptarts isn’t an acceptable breakfast food? It’s got sugar, carbohydrates, and fiber.
It’s practically a full meal!
All kidding aside, this one’s for all the stressed-out university students who need to get some semblance of food in them in ten minutes or else they’ll miss their 8AM lecture. We’ve all been there.
2. Naturalis Pantry Cereal Box by SIMcredible!
If I know my cereal (and I do), we’re looking at the Sims version of Cheerios and KoKo Krunch.
I know a lot of Simmers prefer their brands in Simlish to keep a consistent narrative.
I personally don’t mind the occasional Roman alphabet popping up in my game, but I get why some would be particular about it. If you’re like that, these Simlish-friendly cereal boxes from SIMcredible! should be right up your alley!
3. “Let Them Eat Cereal” by SimDoughnut
SimDoughnut takes the Simlish Cereal Conversion Initiative (not an actual initiative, by the way) one step further by creating completely new – and completely original – cereal brands.
What’s great is that the cereal box designs genuinely look like they’re part of the Sims 4 canon.
Move over, Cap’n Crunch and Tony the Tiger; Freezer Bunny and University Llama mascot are coming for your wig.
4. Kellogg’s Range Part 1 by CoatiSims
If you don’t mind seeing branded CC items in non-Simlish, here are some well-known (and widely-eaten) cereal boxes!
Great for filling an empty pantry, cluttering up a kitchen, or making it look like your Sim remembered to go grocery shopping this week.
5. Cereal Box Pack – 14 pcs by AmartolosCC
If the thirteen different cereals from CoatiSims’ Kellogss’ Range pack weren’t enough, here are fourteen more from AmortolosCC.
We’ve got some repeaters (specifically Fruit Loops) but for the most part, the rest of the cereal selection is different.
6. Funny Kitchen – Time to Bake – Eggs by SIMcredible!
A part of SIMcredible!’s Funny Kitchen series, this tiny basket of eggs was originally intended as decorative ingredients.
However, I’m sure seeing it at a breakfast table would not be remiss.
7. Funny Kitchen (Time to Plug Extra) Toast by SIMcredible!
Still from the Funny Kitchen series, only it isn’t for baking.
Who wouldn’t want to wake up to buttered toast and fresh strawberries?
May not be a five-star breakfast, but it sounds like the perfect way to start a Saturday!
8. Naturalis Pantry Sliced Bread Pack by SIMcredible!
Is this breakfast food CC the greatest thing since sliced bread?
Maybe.
Sorry for the pun. But at least your Sims have a source for the toast in the previous item.
9. Cafeteria Goodies – Breads by SIMcredible!
Not really a fan of sliced bread? That’s okay.
In my opinion, fluffy baguettes and buns straight out of the oven can replace sliced white bread anytime.
Pair with a cup of coffee to have a complete breakfast!
10. Japanese Soufflé Pancakes by Mel Bennett
Speaking of fluffy, these Japanese Soufflé Pancakes look like they came out of a Better Homes and Kitchen magazine.
They look thick, soft, and perfectly airy. Seriously; my compliments to the chef.
11. Eggo Set (Bulk & Singles) by CoatiSims
You mean to tell me Eggos aren’t an acceptable breakfast food either?
They may not be as grab-and-go as Pop tarts, but they’re still a quick and easy godsend for university students (read; me) who didn’t have time to cook breakfast from scratch.
Why not pop a couple of the singles in your Sims’s pantry for emergency snackage?
12. Paisleyavenueredux Misc Conversions (S3-S4) by ddaengsims
Before you wonder why I’m recommending furniture in a “breakfast food” article, don’t worry; there are some decorative food items in the set. Specifically a bowl of blueberries and lots of pancakes.
Yes, you can stack ‘em the way you see ‘em in the third preview photo. Just turn bb.moveobjects on!
13. Food Set #2 by KKB’s Sims
Fried eggs, toast, and oriental melon (that I’m pretty sure is some species of tangerine or tiny orange) — name a more iconic breakfast combo.
All this set needs is a cup of black coffee and some orange juice, and it would perfectly summarize all the animated breakfast scenes I see in cartoons.
14. Drinkable Hot Drinks by Around the Sims 4
And here’s where you’ll find that cup of black coffee to finish up the set.
It also comes with hot chocolate, Japanese tea, cappuccino, and a foamed latte. Just in case your Sims don’t like their coffee black.
15. Waffles Breakfast by moonlyeden
How come all Sims CC creators know how to build and shoot Instagram-worthy photos in-game?
No idea.
I’ve been at this thing for months and I still haven’t figured it out.
Regardless, Waffles Breakfast has some of the most aesthetically-pleasing strawberry waffles I’ve ever seen. Plus the creator included the decorative clutter they used as well.
So you could copy the setup in the preview if you wanted to—right down to the wooden plates!
16. Breakfast Time by moonlyeden
It’s another excellent CC pack from moonlyeden full of high-quality breakfast items. Milk, bananas, and waffles decorated with banana slices? Yes, please!
I don’t know why the creator is so dedicated to making me hungry, but I’m not complaining (much).
17. Breakfast Clutter by Around the Sims 4
This custom breakfast spread isn’t limited to just food!
You’ve got garnishes, jams and spreads, tea kettles, toasters, and juicers.
Exactly what any kitchen-savvy Sim needs to make a hearty, nutritious breakfast!
18. Good Morning Breakfast Food Clutter by Novvvas
A simple, sweet-and-savory breakfast for a simple Sim: croissants with chocolates and strawberries, tangerines for some citrus, some mulled wine (great for kicking yourself awake), and a bowl of blueberries on the side.
19. Snack Time by soloriya
To be perfectly clear, I know it says “Snack Time” in the title.
However, this CC set has got perfectly seasoned fried eggs, beautiful strawberry waffles, scrambled eggs with what appears to be salt and pepper to taste, and a stack of blueberry pancakes.
That isn’t a snack, my friends. That’s full-on brunch.
20. Fruit Farm Organic Jams by One Billion Pixels
Remember the sliced bread a couple items back? The one from SIMcredible!’s Naturalis Pantry set?
I found this a bit too late, but this would make the perfect pairing for it. After all, organic wholefoods are all the rage nowadays. Plus, I really like the colors!
