Other reliable sources of Cursed Ashes include Side Story Events and your Guild, which allows you to request Catalysts and purchase Catalyst Chests for Guild currency.
Source #1: Unrecorded History Stage 3. Sanctuary Temple (Best Source)
Clearing Stage 3. Sanctuary Temple in the Unrecorded History via auto-repeat is the best way to go if you want to farm Cursed Ashes as drops.
You can also purchase up to 20 Cursed Ashes per week from the AP Exchange Shop stationed in the Unrecorded History AP Exchange Shop for 120 AP each.
This farming method requires a lot of patience and Auto-Repeat instances, so I suggest you bring along a Pet that increases your AP Acquisition Rate to make the grind faster.
Source #2: Side Story Events
Side Story Events will always be one of the best sources of precious materials in the game – especially Rare Catalysts like Cursed Ashes.
You can get Catalysts by either buying them with Event currencies in Side Story Events or by claiming them as rewards from Giveaway and Login Events
Note: As of Patch 01/26/23, you can now play any Side Story Event you want as long as you’ve already unlocked them.
To unlock Side Story Event Missions, all you need to do is clear Adventure Mode stages. You can only play one Side Story Event at a time.
Choosing or replacing a Side Story requires an item called “Change Ticket”. You are given a Change Ticket once every two weeks.
Source #3: Guild Member Shop
The Guild Member Shop is also a viable source of Rare Catalysts and Epic catalysts alike, as you can buy Catalyst Chests with Guild Currencies here.
You can buy up to 5 Rare Catalyst Chests per week from the Guild Member Shop for 30 Commander’s Armbands each.
Make sure you’re buying out these chests before every weekly reset. You can do this easily by performing Guild-related tasks and donating every day.
Source #4: Guild Aid
If you don’t have the time to grind, you can also request Rare Catalysts from your fellow guildmates through the Guild Aid system.
You can request up to two Rare Catalysts per day, but remember that you cannot change your requested material until after each daily reset.
Just make sure to donate back to your guildmates, so that they’ll be more receptive to donating more Catalysts to you in the future.
