Other reliable sources of Eternal Forest Dust include Side Story Events and your Guild, which allows you to request Catalysts and purchase Catalyst Chests for Guild currency.
Source #1: Unrecorded History Stage 17. Kiri Elien (Best Source)
The best place to farm some droppable Eternal Forest Dust is Stage 17. Kiri Elien, which is located in the Unrecorded History Side Story mission.
You can buy up to 20 Eternal Forest Dust per week for 120 AP each from the AP Exchange Shop located in the Unrecorded History mission.
Tip: Always bring a Pet that increases your AP acquisition rate when auto-repeating this stage to make your grind for Catalysts much easier.
Source #2: Side Story Events
Side Story Events are not only fun and packed with free Skystones, Molas, and Gold – but they also provide players with a steady influx of Rare and Epic Catalysts.
You can even get Catalyst Chests as Reputation Rewards in addition to pure Catalysts as buyable items in the Event Currency Exchange Shop.
Always check if the Catalyst you need is featured in the Event Currency Exchange Shop. They’re fairly easy to farm — especially if you have pets that increase your Event Currency acquisition rate.
Note: As of Patch 01/26/23, you can now play any Side Story Event you want as long as you’ve already unlocked them.
To unlock Side Story Event Missions, all you need to do is clear Adventure Mode stages. You can only play one Side Story Event at a time.
Choosing or replacing a Side Story requires an item called “Change Ticket”. You are given a Change Ticket once every two weeks.
Source #3: Guild Member Shop
I highly recommend you join a Guild if you still don’t have one, as you’ll get numerous perks just by being a member.
For example, as a Guild Member, you get to buy all sorts of valuable items and materials in the Guild Member Shop like Catalyst Chests in exchange for Guild Currencies.
The stock of items in the Guild Member Shop resets once per seven days, so be sure to get as many Catalyst Chests as you can per week.
You can do this by clearing Guild Missions, being an active player, and most importantly — donating every single day. Try not to skip donating even once.
Source #4: Guild Aid
If you’re in a Guild that explicitly forbids requesting Catalysts as donations, Guild Aid should be your last resort if you want some Eternal Forest Dust.
Feel free to request Catalysts all you want if your Guild doesn’t adhere to the unwritten rule of not requesting hard-to-get materials in the Guild Aid though.
You can only request up to two Catalysts through the Aid function per day, and you can only change the chosen Aid material once every 24 hours.
If you often find yourself requesting Catalysts via the Aid feature, remember to donate some of your excess Catalysts to your guildmates as well.
