Beat Saber is one of the first games ever to take full advantage of VR tech and keep it interesting. It’s immersive, the controls are precise, and it’s genuinely fun.
Videos of Beat Saber masters showing-off their incredible speed and precision have become a hit on YouTube, especially with all the custom songs out there.
If you’ve seen videos of these pro players, you’ve probably seen them using some cool sabers that aren’t included in the base game.
These fan-made sabers can be really funny and really cool – but if you’re not sure where to start then we’ve got a list of all the best saber mods right here.
Fans of Bungie’s Halo saga will recognize the Energy Sword – a bad-ass hardlight blade wielded by the Sangheili Elites of the Covenant Empire.
There are many takes on the Energy Sword floating around for use in Beat Saber. But this one is a cut above thanks to the level of detail and the fantastic electrical current shader on the blade, which looks just like the ones on the Halo games.

The single coolest modded sabers I’ve seen in the entire Beat Saber community have to be these Portal Sabers – also known as the Aperture Science Dual Handheld Portal-Assisted Cube Slicing Device.
While the blades of the ASDHPACSD are themselves short like daggers, Aperture Science’s proprietary portal technology easily doubles their working length.
